Gregg Lord brings 42 years of experience in emergency response and preparedness to disasters. Post his retirement from EMS operations, Lord served as Senior Research Scientist on emergency management, preparedness and response, and homeland security issues at George Washington University's Homeland Security Policy Institute. In 2008, as a Presidential appointee, he served on the National Commission on Children and Disasters. After which he was detailed to serve as the Director of the Emergency Care Coordination Center by the Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response at the DHHS. He is published author of numerous articles including a textbook on the National Incident Management System. Lord holds a MS in Health Sciences from George Washington University, a BS in business management from the McCamish School of Business at Reinhardt University. In 2016 he completed a five-year appointment as a Fulbright Specialist Scholar where he assisted in the development of crisis leadership educational courses at Massey University in Wellington, New Zealand. He has also completed a post-graduate certificate in Homeland Security Leadership at the Naval Post Graduate School.
