Carol Parks is the General Manager of the City of Los Angeles Emergency Management Department. Appointed in 2021, she leads the City's efforts in disaster preparedness, response, and recovery for four million residents. With over 30 years in the field, she has managed the Emergency Operations Center through historic storm cycles, complex public health emergencies and other major events. She holds degrees from the Georgia Institute of Technology and Georgia State University.
