Ryan is an emergency management professional and project leader in North Texas with a proven record of strengthening community resilience before, during, and after disasters. As Response & Recovery Coordinator for the City of Richardson, he develops and leads Emergency Operations Center (EOC) training and maintains 24/7 activation readiness. He drives technology innovation across EOC operations, advancing situational awareness tools, AI applications, and emerging technologies to sharpen decision-making during activations.
Previously, with the Texas Division of Emergency Management, he served as a County Liaison Officer and Recovery Coordinator, advising local governments, managing disaster recovery projects, and streamlining grant submissions. Earlier public safety communications roles built frontline experience in high-stress, 24/7 environments.
A Texas State Guard veteran, Ryan has led teams in hurricane response, search and recovery, and large-scale logistics as a Platoon Sergeant and Battalion Logistics NCOIC. He also owns Native Texas Craftsman Company, a custom woodworking business, and has recently published "The Emergency Management Field Guide" a comprehensive tool for EMs at all levels. Ryan holds a B.S. in Supply Chain Management from UTD and is pursuing an MBA at Texas A&M University.
