Director of Security and Resilience Operations

Charles ("Chuck") Egli has worked at the Water Information Sharing and Analysis Center (WaterISAC) since 2013, most recently in the role of Director of Security and Resilience Operations. At WaterISAC, he works with government and private sector partners to provide security and resilience information and analysis to the water and wastewater sector in the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. Prior to WaterISAC, Chuck worked for the Battelle Memorial Institute, where he supported contracts for the U.S. government. He planned, facilitated, and evaluated exercises designed to increase the security and resilience of critical infrastructure. Chuck is a veteran of the U.S. Navy, where he served as a Surface Warfare Officer. He continues to serve in the U.S. Navy Reserve. Chuck is a 2004 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. In 2018, he earned his Master of Urban and Regional Planning degree, with a Graduate Certificate in Homeland Security Policy, from Virginia Tech. He is also a Fulbright scholar, having completed a one-year fellowship researching flood risk management in the Netherlands.
