Emily Zegowitz graduated from the University of Florida with both a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science and Masters of Science in Fire and Emergency Management. She has spent the last decade building a robust background in response, recovery, and preparedness. Mrs. Zegowitz started her career in the Florida Army National Guard, supporting hurricane deployments in debris operations. Outside of the military, some of her notable disaster activations she has been involved in are the Hurricanes Ian, Nicole, Helene, and Milton – in which she led Unmet Needs and TSA Outreach teams to support short and midterm recovery efforts. Mrs. Zegowitz has qualifications such as the Certified Emergency Manager, Project Management Professional, and Master Exercise Planner.
