Jasneet Mander, CEM

Jasneet Mander is a Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) and graduate of York University, holding a Bachelor of Honours in Disaster and Emergency Management and a Professional Certificate in Public Policy Analysis. She began her career with the City of Toronto, working across multiple divisions including Parks, Waterfront, and Transportation, and supported response efforts during the 2019 Toronto Islands flooding. Through her municipal experience, she developed strong expertise in public sector operations, interdivisional coordination, and crisis response.
In 2021, Jasneet transitioned into her role as Social Emergency Manager with the Anishinaabeg of Kabapikotawangag Resource Council (AKRC), where she works directly with First Nations communities across Northern Ontario. She has supported communities through complex emergencies including COVID-19, influenza outbreaks, floods, and wildfires. Her work focuses on emergency planning, Incident Command, Emergency Operations Centre activation, and culturally informed response coordination to strengthen community resilience.
