Marybeth O'Leary brings over 25 years of emergency management expertise. As the Emergency Management Lead at Bonneville Power Administration's Office of Continuity and Emergency Management, she frequently serves as an Incident Commander for the agency's Incident Management Team and trains a cadre of responders for escalating incidents. Previously, Marybeth was Team Lead for the FEMA Region 10 Incident Management Assistance Team (IMAT) for nine years, deploying nationwide and to U.S. territories to manage initial phases of large-scale disasters, including Superstorm Sandy and Hurricanes Irma and Maria. Before FEMA, she served 21 years as a Lieutenant firefighter/EMT in Snohomish County, Washington, notably being the only female promoted beyond firefighter in her department's history. She holds international fire service certifications and instructed at the Washington State Fire Training Academy in Live Fire, Flammable Liquids, and Multi-company Operations. An alumna of the FEMA Advanced Emergency Management Academy, National Fire Academy and the Emergency Management Institute, Marybeth's diverse background underpins her practical approach to preparedness and resilience.
