Shahab Band

Assistant Professor of Computer Science
Western Connecticut State University

Dr. Shahab Band is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Western Connecticut State University with expertise in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data governance, and explainable AI. He holds a PhD in Computer Science focused on cybersecurity and AI and has led or supported multiple funded research projects involving privacy-preserving systems, risk-aware analytics, and responsible AI design. His work supports secure, human-in-the-loop applications of AI relevant to emergency management and school safety planning.
