Amy Seward

Amy Seward is the Director of the Knox County, Ohio Emergency Management Agency, serving a small rural community and working in emergency management in Knox County for the past three years. Passionate about planning and preparedness, she collaborates with local agencies, organizations, and school districts to strengthen emergency readiness and build resilient partnerships throughout the community.
Amy's background includes growing up on a dairy farm, earning a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Education, and working with military families and in public health. This diverse experience shapes her practical, relationship-driven approach to emergency management.
She is an active member of the Emergency Management Association of Ohio (EMAO), serving on the Education Committee and K-12 Education Preparedness Caucus, and participates in the International Association of Emergency Management (IAEM) K–12 Education Caucus. Locally, Amy serves on the Parks and Recreation Board and EMS Board, and volunteers at her sons' school events.
