Adenea Sellars, Director of Emergency Management for Stevens County, is a driving force for rural resilience. Operating as a one-person shop, she leverages a Master of Science in Management and Leadership and extensive civic experience—including terms on the Colville City Council and as a Library Trustee overseeing an over $1 million budget across eight rural branches.She currently chairs the regional EMS/TCC council to support rural ambulance services and MCI readiness. Beyond traditional EM, she manages a diverse volunteer network and intersectional public health initiatives. These include using Opioid Abatement funds for the "Stevens County Connect" app, launching a naloxone leave-behind program, and forming a "Reaching Rural" team to help support recovery housing.A NACO High Performance Leadership graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations, Adenea is an expert communicator. She served as Vice President of Public Relations for Toastmasters, winning multiple regional speech competitions, and frequently presents at WSU Winter School, From the Ground Up, and local community forums.
