Matt Dutko helps to lead GoFundMe’s Policy & Engagement Team, building and strengthening post-disaster recovery coordination with community leaders and public officials at all levels of government. Prior to joining GoFundMe, Matt was the Deputy Director of Presidential Advance in the Executive Office of the President during the Biden Administration, leading Presidential travel support for domestic and international trips like the G7 and assorted State Visits hosted by foreign nations. He also spent two years as and Advisor for Infrastructure Implementation to Secretary of the Interior Deb Haaland, leading deployment and implementation of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and the Inflation Reduction Act at the Department of the Interior. In that capacity he worked closely with State, Tribal, and Territorial governments building infrastructure to protect vulnerable populations from the impacts of changing climate.
Matt is a Washington DC native who has a Masters Degree in International Economics from Johns Hopkins School for Advanced International Studies and graduated with a BA from the University of California at Berkeley.
