Vanessa Plume, a member of the Oglala Sioux Tribe, serves her community both as Criminal Investigator with 15 years of Law Enforcement Services and Volunteer FireFighter for Alpha One Fire and Rescue. She holds numerous certificates for emergency services through the State of South Dakota, FLETC, Homeland Security and Student at the OLC. She has served in the leadership roles within the Oglala Sioux Tribe as well as the Sheriff for the Oglala Lakota County. She has shown strength and resilience within her professional life and personal development skills.
