With over a decade of experience in emergency management, Bill Howard is the Traffic Emergency Management Specialist for the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission. Bill oversees the Unmanned Aerial Systems, weather management, and hazardous materials response programs. He is the lead planning chief for the Turnpike Command Center activations as well as the Lead Agency Representative to the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency for the PTC. He is also the Crisis Management Team Coordinator for the PTC's COOP program. He graduated from FEMA's National Emergency Management Advanced Academy in August 2022. He is also a professionally certified emergency manager from the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency. In addition to his work duties, Bill serves on the Board of Advisors for DRONERESPONDERS and is the Central Area Director for KEMA. He is also an emergency management coordinator for two townships and one borough in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. He enjoys spending time with his family, photography, and traveling.
