Jeff Hansen is a member of The Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma where he proudly serves as the Senior Director of Community Protection for the tribe. He has over 22 years of experience in the public safety field and has responded to numerous disasters and emergencies. Jeff oversees the Department of Emergency Management, the Department of Criminal Justice, and the Office of the Fire Marshal for the Choctaw Nation.
Jeff is a member of the International Association of Emergency Managers. He also serves as the Vice-Chair of the Inter-Tribal Emergency Management Coalition and is a former Chair of the Federal Emergency Management Agency National Advisory Council. Mr. Hansen is a veteran of the United States Air Force serving in South Korea and Florida as a firefighter. He holds a Master of Science Degree from Oklahoma State University in Fire and Emergency Management Administration, is a Certified Emergency Manager through the International Association of Emergency Managers and a graduate of the National Emergency Management Executive Academy at FEMA’s Emergency Management Institute.
